Happy Release Day Alicia Montgomery!!! Where did the time go?? This journey has been a phenomenal one since I first found her True Mates series. Now we are at the end of the Lone Wolf series. Connor lived up to everything I could have ever imagined and then some with him.
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know that Alicia is a fave shifter author of mine. I love her stories and how she breathes life into the characters. They are multifaceted and have dimension to their personalities. The stories have grown over time and it feels like this entire world has been created that you could go and find them all.
Connor is the brooding wolf who has one thing on his mind. When his heart and head go at war he will struggle to decide which path he needs to take. There are secrets in his past that even he will have to battle to win the war. Alicia made this strong wolf have such heart and compassion even if he didn’t realize it.
Evie is a cute bubbly burst of fresh air. She fits into the lone wolf family like she always belonged there. There is so much I want to say, but hate to spoil. She just has so many qualities about her you want to hug her and give her a high-five at the same time. She brought so much to the table with Connor that showed just how perfect she is as his mate.
All of the favorites are back and it has come full circle with everyone around in an epilogue that has you happy but sad at the same time. You really don’t want the story to end but like all good things it must.

They say the one with the most growl is harder to fall and nothing could be more true for Connor. His story will have you turning the page as quickly as possible to get to the ending that you hope will happen. There are some moments that you feel your heart beating out of your chest. There is so much heart and soul in this story, you can’t help but fall in love and cheer Connor on. I still can’t get over how well it unfolded and played out. I definitely had moments of my heart in my throat for Connor.
Evie has a dream to be a big star. I think what she finds out happens in her life is more important that her name in lights. As her journey through bad choices in men lead her to the grumpy, scary, lycan. She quickly decides since nobody will fight for him she will. The compassion and soul Evie has shines through. I was totally rooting for her in Kansas!
This story is definitely one to read if you’ve read the series and want to see Connor get his HEA. You will fall in love with Connor and Evie on a whole new level. The heart and soul bring a conclusion that will only make you want to start from the beginning again.
