While not a member of the Devils Knights, Troy has a chance to find love. I am so happy Winter is giving us Troy’s story. I think this one is my fave from the series. We get to see a good man working an honest living, fall in love, and get some good.
Troy is an honorable man who cares about his friends. After helping with Cyn and his best friend Meg becoming an ol’ lady, he finds himself at the clubhouse for his birthday. The celebration leads to a night of passion. He will find out the identity of his one-night stand and have a battle on his hands. Troy is not one for games and knows what he wants. When a foe unexpectedly tries to end his life, he has to fight to get back to the woman who stole his heart.
Marley is trying to reconnect with her father, Gravel. I feel like she is still a lost, scared, girl who wants love and a home. One thing I did like about her was her excitement for the small things in life. She also had an inner strength when push came to shove. She grew a lot in this story becoming her own center of strength and having Troy by her side. I laughed at how she could burn water.
The foe is not someone we’d expect it to be. I feel like this is a calm before the storm for the Devils Knights. We get to see all our old favorites and meet new characters that are a welcome addition to the crazy gang.
The plot in this story was well done. I think it fits as a nice go-between for the MC happenings and dealings. The story has laughs and antics that will leave you chuckling. I also had my “I wanted to smack Marley moments too”, and that made it all the more fun to read. 5 Pointe shoes from this blogger.
