I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this series. I read the first story when it was selected in the SS monthly book club read. I fell in love with it and halfway through grabbed the boxed set. It was cheaper than buying the remaining three individually for me. Even though I already had the first, I liked that they were all together to read the full series. I could not put this down and devoured it hungrily as I turned the page. Now I’m in such a fog after reading this series, I’m not sure what to do with myself.
****I NEED ASHRAC’S STORY******
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So I’m picky on my shifter reads. What others like doesn’t always appeal to me. That said I could not put this book down! I read three of the four in two days!!!
The main plot is 4 dragons are left with a vicious curse. They have to work their own issues out together and separate to break the curse. You will have to read to see if they succeed. I’m a huge fan of Greek mythology and loved how that was worked into the story.
Dragons don’t Cry – in this story we first learn about the curse and meet the four male dragons that are doomed to find a virgin bride to transcend to be a family. Okay this will pull on your emotions. I got to the end and was like WTH I’m cussing the author right now. Luckily there was a HFN to be had but gut wrenching getting there. Bastian and Acasia have this relationship that breaks Bastian in a way he couldn’t fathom. I couldn’t get over her character. She was just so well written and strong. Despite being a virgin and scared she was a great heroine. Bastian grew so much over the story. I think it shows a writers depth to add such growth.
Dragons Don’t Love – we get to see more of Laryn as it’s his turn to figure out what needs to be done. We also meet Ashrac which I won’t spoil but to me adds such a comedic relief and humor. Laryn is a pompous a$$. He was just so hardened. I thought I loved the first story and had my heart yanked out with it but I was wrong this one did it too. Roxanne is a firecracker. How she crashed into Laryn’s world and took it as her own was perfect. She’s so different from Acasia but I loved that. They were strong in their own ways and made each dragon better in their own right. When things came crashing down Laryn was knocked down and humbled. He fell in a way that just had you wanting to hug the big blue dragon.
Dragons Don’t Forgive – Sigh Sarn…I don’t even know what to say about the poor man. His greatest enemy was from within. Sierra saw something in him that just took his vulnerability and speared his doubt head on with love. Her strength saved him. And kudos to the author for shaking it up. You think you have it solved knowing how the story will end but you don’t. She threw a curve at you and it made me love her as an author more. This one had me so anxious for the characters. I couldn’t put it down.
Dragons Live Forever – nothing could’ve prepared me for this story. It made me hurt for the dragons and just feel so much for Pepper. I can’t even begin touching on all the swirling emotions this brought forth. What a fight, flight, and battle. It will leave so much to be said and you just won’t want it to end. This one hurt to read but hurt so good that you loved it all the same.
