Duplicity

I’m participating in this release blitz, but still love to bring y’all my normal posting. So in keeping with that theme, you will find my post and the release blitz with info below the horizontal line.
Earlier this month I had a giveaway on my FB page to introduce you to AJ Renee. I found her in the Booksurfer Blog and was hooked ever since. She writes contemporary romance and her third released today. Duplicity is about Jamie Lynn and Jesse. We have seen them go back and forth in the first two novels. Now it is their time to address the elephant in the room and come to terms with what they know in their hearts.
Jamie Lynn is a strong woman. AJ wrote a woman with a business, who has struggled, endured, and survived. As an adult, I love that while she had her insecurities, she was level-headed about her business life. She grew in this story in so many ways. She learned that even with her guard up family is there at all times. They don’t have to be blood. She also opened up to all the possibilities of opening her heart to Jesse and the other characters. I had a chuckle moment when Marc made a murder comment. I could picture this whole book playing out in my head like a movie.
Jesse had WAY more secrets than I expected. Talk about pulling wool over my eyes AJ. Seriously, normally I can see what’s going to happen but I was shocked on many levels with him. Jesse was the total package and swoon worthy doesn’t do him justice. You could feel his strength, heartache, love, and fight.
I cannot talk a lot about this story because there are so many spoilers and I refuse to do that to y’all. Obviously from the cover you see it’s an interracial romance. AJ handled this flawlessly. She had a way about her writing that made you feel the emotions of the characters. The topics are heavy at times, but she balances them in a way that is realistic. I LOVED this story. As you read, you can see the heart and soul put in this one (loved the others too). It knocked it out of the park for me. Did you read it? Let me know in the comments or on FB. I have so many more, but don’t want to spoil it.

Third in this series is EPIC. I could not put down Jesse and Jamie Lynn’s story. I was so anxious for their HEA. AJ wrote a heck of a novel.
Jamie Lynn is used to being closed of to preserve herself. She is used to everyone leaving and not staying. When all her fears are disproven, she has lost that security blanket she’s built. Watching her come to the realization that her fears are nought is touching on an emotional level.
Jesse has more secrets than the government LOL. I was surprised by them. Couldn’t see some of them coming until AJ wanted me to. He is everything you want in a man. Watching him step up and conquer Jamie Lynn’s fears just cemented him as all things sugar and spice.
I cannot wait to see what is next for St. Fleur and the characters that live there. AJ has done it again writing a heck of a story.

Jesse’s eyes flew open as he released himself and moved to a protective stance. “What are you doing here?”

His gaze moved down her body in a caress. She saw the flash of pleasure before he put up walls to protect himself from her hurtful inaction and words. Unable to speak, her mind was jumbled over Jesse’s naked form and the fact that he had been pleasuring himself. Jaime Lynn stepped into the spray and Jesse moved back. His back hit the wall with nowhere to go.

Jaime Lynn took in his body, the muscles covering his chest and arms down to his sculpted abs. His beautiful, thick length stood proudly as her eyes roved down his thighs to where wiry, black hair covered his legs.

Confusion flashed over his face, replacing the desire in his gaze, as he repeated, “What are you doing here, Jaime Lynn?”

Nerves froze her in place, the words right on the tip of her tongue. No matter the limbo state of their relationship, Jesse was a constant in her life. Author to Widower’s Aura, Always Mine, Duplicity, and Finding love at the falls…. I’m a military wife and mother to three girls seven and under. Prior to these roles I lived in Florida where I attended the University of Central Florida. I received my Masters of Science in Criminal Justice and Bachelors of Science in Psychology. A decade later and I haven’t used either.

Writing a book was never a goal of mine, funny how life works out sometimes. I thought I would work for one of the many agencies that specialize in justice. Instead I decided to focus on a family once we married.
