Tara has had a rough go at matters of the heart. Basically it shatters because it seems nobody is concerned with how fragile it is. Tara grows as the story develops. I enjoyed by the end how she found the quiet strength Charles knew was there all along.
Keon is the best friend of Tara’s and he is a great addition to the mix. The relationship he has with Tara is unique and withstands so much that she has gone through. He brings out the best in Tara and helps Charles to win his heart.
Charles’ best friend, Damien brings some comedic moments as well as some groan worthy moments. It would be great to see him get his! He was definitely the asshole best friend. You can get why he and Charles are close, but boy did you want to smash his head in at times.

Tara has some insecurities about her but she fights to overcome them. You can feel the emotional turmoil she has going on internally. When Charles falls into her life, she has to decide to take a leap of faith.
Charles is working his way to permanently solidify himself in Tara’s life. He was hit with instalust and attraction to her. This solider will face his toughest battle, winning Tara’s heart.
Fall into this great read today. It will give you lots of warm squishy feels and swoon worthy men in uniform moments.
