Alexa Riley are back at it! This is their shifter bundle including a new release. Since there are four books in this bundle, I’m going to do my review on each book below. Little different from what I normally would do, but thought it would be a better fit since there are five stories in this bundle. I had actually only read one of them before, so the rest were new reads for me. If you know me, you know I love Alexa Riley and all the big squishy feels they give me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Riding Red:
This was the only one in this series I had read. Giving a new meaning to Red Riding Hood, we meet Ruby and Dominic. Ruby has a bakery in the small town of Gray Ridge. Unfortunately unbeknownst to her, she has no local customers. Worried she will have to close up if business doesn’t pick up, she confides in her only friend Gwen. With the full moon approaching Dominic plans to change everything and make Ruby his. This was super sweet and perfect AR style for a shifter read. I loved it and all the sass Ruby gives Dominic.
Beauty Sleeps:
EEEEKKKK I think this one was my favorite. Oh my goodness the sweetness of Gwen and X. *sigh* My heart broke and swelled in this short story. Gwen is the alpha’s sister and after her best friend Ruby finds love and a home within the pack, she wonders when she will get that chance. This story picks up from some hints we had in Ruby’s tale. X smells his mate. He has had a tragic past that haunts him to this day. With the help of Dominic, he sees what he needs to do to win his mate. When the Alpha stands in their way, I had a moment of cheering for Gwen and how she responded. She gets all growly and territorial over her mate being kept from her. This one by far took the cake as my favorite story in this set. AR packed so much about the two of them in this. It will have you swooning and sighing with hearts in your eyes.
The Lost Slipper:
After his mistakes, Stone, the alpha gets wind of his mate. While I loved the previous story, this one also took the cake for me too. Winnie, the little bear, has no idea what is happening except her dreams are coming true. The question is, can she believe them. She has taken over helping in the bakery Ruby began and she grows confident more and more. I give the girl credit, she grew the most as a female character in my opinion out of this whole series. I think she became an Alpha bear that was perfect for the Grey Ridge pack. There were some shocking moments when her past comes to her present. The dynamics of X and Stone had me giggling. There was definitely a lot of jabs towards the two men.
Finding Snow:
With Koda now the newest bear of the pack, he is conflicted. Nightmares still plague him and he goes out in the Snow to try to find peace. What he didn’t expect to find was his mate, Snow. She has a HUGE secret and when it comes to light, she isn’t sure that their bond is enough. I loved her heart. She had this empathy about her to take care of everyone and everything. Koda definitely embodies the grumpy bear but he has a big marshmallow center and is all heart. I like how they both overcame their fears together. Snow melted Koda’s cold heart.
The Three Bad Wolves:
This is the new story if you snag this bundle. It is probably the steamiest of the pack. When Luna the little bunny calls Grey Ridge home, she doesn’t know what will happen. Still a scared little rabbit, she keeps to herself and lives on land Ruby and Dominic have. When the snow comes barreling down, she finds herself being hunted, only this time it’s a hunt she is excited about. Flint, Finn, & Forest are worried that the three of them will never find their mates. Quickly that changes and they realize that destiny has plans for them and their fated mate. I found the humor in this one to be spot on with the little bunny and her wolves. It was definitely steamy in the heat and romance department. Overall brought a fitting end to the lovable characters in the Grey Ridge pack.
There you have it, my review and take on each book. Fantasy and fairytales have always been my favorite and when shifters are in the mix, it makes them a dream come true. Alexa Riley didn’t disappoint at all in this boxed set. Writing this review has made me want to read it again already. 💖
