This author reached out to me about her story and reading the blurb, I thought it would be good to check out. I was left confused and disappointed. I think there is so much potential with the story and where the author wants to take it. The plot was left open and I was left scratching my head going ‘huh’.
It was described as a HEA but in reality it ends with a cliffy to me. You don’t know if she will end up happy. I had trouble following along, distinguishing between what was going on, and no real resolution to the plot.
I did find out that this is just the beginning of the story for Jimmie and there will be more to come. I think with designation of quotes when the characters are speaking would clarify the story as well as maybe italicizing the dream sequences or making them more discernible.

This author is new to me. The blurb of the story had me intrigued and I wanted to know more. I was left disappointed as I dove in. It is a very quick read and I finished it in no time. After reaching out to the author I found out this is just the beginning of their story and Jimmie’s shot at love. It does end in an abrupt cliffy just as a warning.
I was a little lost in it and confused with telling when Jimmie was talking with others, thinking, or dreaming. That last sex scene was HOT and I thought it was real only to realize it was a dream.
Overall it was a 3 for me because of the trouble I had following along, distinguishing between what was going on, and no real resolution to the plot. Did she make it as a designer for the hotel? Did they get together? Did her cherry get popped? I had so many questions. I think there is a lot of potential with the story but as of the current moment I was left frustrated.
