Back in the world of Lycans, we come back to the Lone Wolf’s to see if Quinn can find his mate. This is now the second in the spinoff series Alicia has created. While all of the stories are about finding their true mates, I found this one extremely refreshing. Sometimes you feel like there is a repetition with them. I did not feel that with Quinn. His story was uniquely him and his mate.
I remember messaging Alicia and saying what are you doing to me? I’m curious how this will end!
Quinn had secrets he didn’t even want to know. Boy you better be ready for some feels and a whole can of crazy. I had my suspicions as to who was after him and Selena. I wasn’t completely right and I liked that. She surprised me. The epilogue was perfect to tie up loose ends on Quinn’s sordid past.
Selena…if there was ever a female Alicia wrote that I wanted to just hug and squeeze more than anything it would be her. She is so guarded and fearful. It is very easy to relate to her insecurities.
Quinn and Selena’s journey isn’t typical but the reward for the two of them at the end was heartwarming. I think this is my favorite couple so far. It’s a close second between Jade & Creed and Cady and Nick. If you don’t know who I’m talking about, check out her True Mate series! LOL
Oh and Alicia, I’m going to need a story for Dante…um just so you know LOL.

The Lone Wolf defenders are back. They are falling into a routine with their business and work for Creed. This is the second in a new series and I loved it even more than the first.
Quinn and Selena’s story is unique to them even when we get to see some of our favorites from this series and the True Mate series.
Selena has a determination about her that shows how she will rise above. She has overcome so much in her past that she is hesitant for the future. Meeting her family was more than interesting. There was less than 6 degrees of separation for part of her family I was like OOOHHH they’re related haha. While she is reserved and scared, what it takes for her to finally stand up for what she believes in had me cheering. She is such a relatable female that I enjoyed every minute reading.
Quinn had some secrets that were surprising. We know the Lone Wolves each have their secret when Archie found them. I did not expect Quinn’s. He is confident and strong. When Selena comes crashing in, I felt like it knocks him to his core. The other part was his past. You could feel how it hinged on all his actions thus far. Overcoming that was enjoyable to read. He finally had someone other than Archie who believed in him.
A fantastic paranormal read for anyone who loves this genre.
