This was an interesting read for me. Definitely more on the erotic/BDSM side… I don’t normally gravitate towards these reads. This one had a lot of action and drama within the pages of my Kindle. Travis and Kent stumble upon beautiful Brooke. The journey is crazy as these three work towards truths and happily ever after.
If you are into this subgenre of romance, then I think you will really enjoy this book. I found myself skimming the sex scenes because it just wasn’t working for me. Now the suspense, back story, and road to the HEA, I thoroughly consumed.
Brook is tired, scared, and running. She is trusting no one and hoping to find peace. An accident leads her to Travis & Kent’s home. What unfolds will be a roller coaster ride in hell. She will face a demon that threatens to snuff out her flame of life.
Brooke lands in this small town that in the end will pitch in to take care of her. I feel she really grew as the story progressed. In the end, she has to be the one to have the will and want to fight.
Travis and Kent just want the one. They find Brooke and feel like she is the missing link in their life. Fate has a different plan, they will have to fight the flames of hell to win the battle… and Brooke’s heart.
The men are exactly what you expect them to be. Strong, caring, hard-working, and devoted are just a few traits I picked up on from reading. They find out Brooke’s secrets and both men have obstacles to overcome to earn her trust.
This story was a good read. I really liked the drama and tension that played out. While the sex portion wasn’t a go for me, it might be perfect for someone else. I’m giving this one 4 pointe shoes, for the reason that parts weren’t for me. Like I said above though, the back story, plot, and writing was fantastic, so that gets a 5 in my book.
