I think this was my favorite out of this whole series so far. It was fast paced and I read it in less than 2 hours. That said, it had such a strong gut punch of feels that hit you quicker than the story.
Tempest is stronger than brass. This woman is everything every woman wants to be when it comes to strength, fortitude, heart, and grit. She doesn’t back down, and gives till the end. I really liked how she didn’t break. She might have bent on her journey but in the end, her life straightened out to something beautiful. Her biggest weakness I felt was trust. She held it close and when Deacon came crashing in, it was hard to let go and trust.
Gentry, Deacon, was one we knew little about other than he was a SEAL. I liked how Chelsea had his past open up. We found out his secrets amidst Tempest’s secrets and it worked. There was an understanding and instant loyalty shown. I felt like Gentry just did what he had to do for no other reason than it was the right thing to do.
I can’t spoil it but there are so many twists, surprises, and secrets that join together in making this a ride for life.
You can read this as a standalone but might be a little lost with some of the background. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
