Romi delivered with this story. I enjoyed Sinner. It is the best book I’ve read from her. The plot was one I enjoyed and different from other stories I’ve read. I am super late on this review, but even now writing this up, I’m glad I made it a 5 because I want to read it again. Definitely, a good short story about second chances and where the bad boy falls for the good girl.
Jasper is looking for a second chance. He has regrets and a past that weighs him down. A chance encounter from a stalker has him questioning his life. He sees things with hope and new possibilities. The only thing stopping him is the band of brothers tied to his past and threatening to consume his future.
Mina has to learn to let go to heal. She is a fun female character to read. I liked her smarts, wit, and ingenuity. She really was neat. I also like how she found love, forgiveness, and happiness in this story.
The drama that unfolded flowed within the story. I got a feel for the past and it fit within the present timeline in a way that I wasn’t lost as a reader.
Jasper’s band of brothers definitely created chaos and turmoil. The ending was jam-packed and moved quickly. I did feel like I blinked and it was resolved. I did not mind it for this story but wanted to mention it because I know some readers are turned off by quick resolutions.
I don’t want to spoil but I liked the bond/connection kept with Jake. Romi tied up that loose end beautifully. Made my heart all squishy.
Overall I couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable read. It was the bad guy gets redemption and a second chance. I also liked that Mina was flawed. She learned to not judge and to love unconditionally. Definitely the best story I’ve read by Romi. I would recommend it to my followers. It’s a good mix of bad boy redemption and second chances. It is also a quick read, so if you want a short story, check it out. This blogger gives it 5 pointe shoes.
