This was book 2 in the series and boy was my son happy to hear it came out. He was excited when I got the mail of this book and wanted to read both books 1 & 2 that night for snuggles. This book released several months after the first one and can I say as a parent, the fact that my child remembered the first one, and was excited for the next says something. He stated: I hope we learn about the pasta beasties in this one. Little did he know we would have to wait.

A five-star children’s book for me is one that keeps my child engaged, teaches a great lesson, and makes him come back for more. He was frustrated by the ending and really wants the Pasta Beasties to make an appearance. We had an open discussion about cliffhangers and series books. How they carry over and we will find out soon enough. His response “I don’t like it.” Yeah, well me either kid LOL, Mommy doesn’t like waiting for the next book to come out either. HAHA. Little Man couldn’t wait to talk about this story either. I was so surprised when one day my Mom told me he wouldn’t stop talking about the Pasta Kidz. I LOVED that! I am thrilled that I am raising a voracious reader who likes to engage others in his the stories he has read.

We meet Victor Vermicelli and Lola Lasagne in this story. We learn how different people can be but also that kindness and saying you’re sorry can go a long way. My son greatly enjoyed the BIG TICKET! The whole story was just as engaging as the first and kept him engrossed as we read. We cannot wait for the third story to be released and will definitely add it to our collection.
