This is Deborah Bladon’s newest release and I couldn’t wait to snatch it up. I read it three weeks ago and am getting around to blogging my review. I always love diving in to a fresh new read by Deborah Bladon. She just delivers me my HEA world, with finesse, laughter, heart, and feels.
We met Crew and Adley a few books ago in Risk. I was anxiously awaiting Crew’s story, because I wanted to see how the mighty would fall… in love.
Crew has built an empire with his friend, Nolan, outside of the shadows of his family.
Adley is just trying to find passion in her life. She has a goal and nobody will stop it. Even her best friend Crew. She fights for what she wants and believes in for herself.
There were so many surprises for me in this one. I didn’t expect Crew’s secrets to be what they were and Adley… holy cow I just got shocked with that little tidbit of info. No spoilers, because we don’t roll that way but it shocked me.
This is definitely a best friend to lover romance that I enjoyed. Adley was funny, caring, passionate and smart. She reached for her dreams in this story and when Crew got it, he got it and supported her to the moon and back. Crew brought some mystery into this story and deep down you could see how genuine he is. His heart is in the right place and he cares immensely for those he considers family.
If you are looking for a standalone HEA read, then you need to grab this story.

Crew and Adley go together like peanut butter and chocolate. Their story was a fun read that had some twisting surprises. I enjoyed this standalone novel and devoured it as fast as I could turn the pages.
Crew is the best friend in the friend zone and never thought he would see the day when he wanted out of there. Adley changes before him and is no longer the best friend but the girl he wants to love. He will have to play dirty and dare to get Adley to realize the truth. She takes a chance on a dare that could go sideways but all it does is end up leading to the truth that is in her heart all along.
Definitely grab this story for a fun read full of romance, laughter, games, and family.
