Second in the Mail-Order Bride series, this book is all about shifters. I don’t think I’ve read an Elle Goode book before, so this was a new author for me. Overall I was pleased with the story. There were some issues with the timeline of events, but overall for a short HEA romance read, it hit the spot.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed the shifter world she created. It was fun and had a lot packed in the short amount of time.
Cassie is desperate to get out of a life she is stuck in. In this story she definitely played the role of damsal in distress. I took this story for what it was and just enjoyed the ride. I normally like a little more back bone in my heroines but Cassie’s characteristics fit within the tale.
Edon was my fave out of this story by far. I liked how the author protrayed him. He was an alpha and you could feel the power radiating from the pages. He definitely fought to get his mate and love.
The secondary characters were actually my favorite. Leif was humorous and Ronnie was perfect. She added so much to ease tension in this story.
The timeline was a little off with some scenes as well as an issue with wrong name in the beginning. I really wished we had an ending that tied up better. I wanted her to see Anne again. Overall it was a cute quick read in this addition of Mail-Order Brides. I’m giving it a 3 because timeline and names got muddled and could be confusing to readers. Story plot was a four out of five, but the issues and loose ending brought it down for me.

I liked this one better than Ruby Dixon’s which was a surprise to me.
I loved the plot and premise behind it, but I felt some of the execution was short. It was on the same level as Ruby’s for me :).
